PlayStation Plus focuses on cooperation after price increases. Sony reveals games for June

Calendar 5/27/2026

Sony has officially revealed the lineup of games that will be available for PlayStation Plus in June 2026. This time the company is heavily focusing on multiplayer productions and cooperative experiences for multiple players. The biggest premiere seems to be Grounded from Obsidian Entertainment, but the lineup also includes the brutal Warhammer 40,000: Darktide and the more party-oriented Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2. The problem, however, is that the new offering comes just moments after subscription price increases in some regions of the world. For many gamers, Sony now needs to particularly convince users of the value of PlayStation Plus. The June list clearly shows an attempt to emphasize games that encourage online fun together.

Grounded and Darktide are set to be the biggest hits of June in PlayStation Plus

Grounded is one of the strongest titles in the entire lineup. The game from Obsidian Entertainment shrinks players down to the size of bugs and throws them into a huge backyard full of dangerous creatures. The game heavily focuses on exploration, crafting, and cooperation with up to four players online. In addition to regular survival, the game also offers a storyline explaining the mysterious shrinking of the heroes. A completely different atmosphere is offered by Warhammer 40,000: Darktide. This is a brutal cooperative shooter set in the dark universe of Warhammer 40K. Players take on the roles of convicts sent on practically suicidal missions against the forces of Chaos. Darktide strongly emphasizes a heavy atmosphere, brutal melee combat, and teamwork during intense skirmishes.

Sony is trying to maintain interest in PS Plus after price increases

The third major title of the month is Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, a more party-oriented game inspired by the Super Smash Bros. series. The game allows players to fight as characters from popular Nickelodeon cartoons, including SpongeBob, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Jimmy Neutron. Sony is clearly trying this time to build an offering focused on online cooperative play and local multiplayer. All three games will be available from June 2 to July 6. Additionally, EA Sports FC 26 will remain available to subscribers until mid-June. The June offerings are clearly aimed at encouraging users to actively use the service after recent price increases.

Sony focuses mainly on cooperation and multiplayer in June, trying to maintain the appeal of PlayStation Plus after the increase in subscription prices. Grounded, Darktide, and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 are meant to encourage players to play together online in the coming weeks.
