Sony has presented new details about accessories that were first announced last year. The company wants to further develop the ecosystem of devices that work with both PlayStation 5 and personal computers. This time, the manufacturer revealed release dates, prices, and pre-order start dates for several new products. Among them are devices aimed at both fighting game fans and those building their own gaming setups. Sony notes that more and more players are using the console outside of the traditional living room, which is why it is preparing equipment tailored to modern desks and computer stations. The first devices will be available for sale as early as August.
FlexStrike is meant to attract fighting game fans and tournament competitors
The main highlight is the wireless controller FlexStrike. This is the first fight stick in PlayStation history to utilize wireless communication. The device has been designed with competitive players in mind, particularly for fighting games and arcade tournament titles. Sony emphasizes that the equipment was developed considering the needs of professional users as well as those frequently traveling to tournaments. The package will include a special carrying case that makes it easier to transport the device. The manufacturer has also implemented a built-in battery, allowing the controller to operate without a constant wired connection. FlexStrike will be compatible with both PlayStation 5 and PCs. The official release is set for August 6, 2026. This date is not coincidental, as it coincides with the release of the game MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls. Pre-orders will start on June 12. The device has been priced at $199.99. Sony hopes that the new controller will become an attractive alternative to the popular fight sticks currently available on the market. The company also intends to strengthen its presence in the e-sports gaming hardware segment in the future.
The monitor and new speakers are set to create a complete gaming setup
The second product is a 27-inch gaming monitor equipped with a special charging dock for the DualSense controller. The device uses an IPS panel with a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The screen supports VRR technology and refresh rates of up to 120 Hz on PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro consoles. For PCs and Macs, the frequency can increase to as much as 240 Hz. Sony emphasizes that the monitor is designed for those using a console at a desk. Pre-orders will begin on June 5, and the device will be priced at $349.99. The launch is set for August 27. The manufacturer has also announced new wireless Pulse Elevate speakers. They will build on the solutions known from the Pulse Explore and Pulse Elite headsets. Sony aims to provide a more spatial and immersive sound experience without the need for headphones. The company has not yet revealed the exact specifications or price of the device. It is only known that the speakers are expected to be available for sale before the end of 2026. When combined with the new monitor, they are intended to create a complete setup designed for gaming outside the living room.
Sony is consistently expanding its range of equipment compatible with PlayStation 5. The biggest interest may be generated by the wireless fight stick FlexStrike, which targets the community of fighting game and e-sports fans. At the same time, the company is developing the segment of monitors and audio devices, aiming to reach gamers who use their own computer setups.
