Philips unveiled the new Evnia 36M4C5500P gaming monitor, which the manufacturer says is the world’s first 36-inch gaming display with a refresh rate of up to 260 Hz. It features a curved Fast VA panel, an ultrawide 21:9 aspect ratio, and a 3440 × 1440 pixel resolution.
36-inch, 260 Hz and HDR400
The Philips Evnia 36M4C5500P uses a Fast VA panel with a 1500R curvature and a native 240 Hz refresh rate that can be increased to 260 Hz in OC mode. The manufacturer claims a 1 ms GtG response time and 0.3 ms MPRT when using the Smart MBR feature.
The monitor offers a 4000:1 contrast ratio, 95% DCI-P3 coverage, and 350 nits brightness in SDR. It also received DisplayHDR 400 certification, and peak HDR brightness reaches 500 nits.
HDMI 2.1, RGB and availability
The monitor comes equipped with two HDMI 2.1 ports, DisplayPort 1.4, and a headphone output. It's worth noting, however, that at 3440 × 1440 the HDMI ports support up to 100 Hz. To use higher refresh rates you'll need to connect via DisplayPort.
It also includes ShadowBoost, Smart Crosshair, and Smart Sniper, and the Iconglow illuminated logo on the chassis lets you customize RGB effects.
Philips Evnia 36M4C5500P has been announced for the Asia-Pacific market. Price and release date in Poland remain unknown.
