LG Electronics is set to officially showcase its line of OLED televisions for 2026 in the coming days at CES. However, before the manufacturer could reveal the details, marketing materials surfaced online showing the flagship models LG OLED G6 and LG OLED W6.
New OLED panel "Hyper Radiant" Tandem WOLED
The biggest novelty in both models is supposed to be a completely new Hyper Radiant Tandem WOLED OLED panel with a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz. LG is once again raising the bar in terms of brightness – although specific values have not yet been revealed, leaks suggest that the new models will exceed the current LG G5, which achieves up to 2500 nits of peak brightness.
Brightness Booster Ultra and gallery design
According to the revealed materials, the Hyper Radiant panel has been equipped with Brightness Booster Ultra technology, which is said to offer up to 3.9 times higher brightness compared to the upcoming LG OLED B6. The B series traditionally uses earlier generation panels, which is meant to further emphasize the differences between mid-range and high-end models. The LG OLED G6 model will maintain the characteristic gallery design, allowing it to be mounted almost perfectly flush against the wall. The TV is expected to be available in sizes 48, 55, 65, 77, 83, and 97 inches, which are exactly the same sizes offered by the previous generation.
Better coating, new α11 AI processor, and HDR formats
LG is also set to implement aenhanced anti-reflective coating, reducing light reflections and improving black depth in bright rooms. Image processing will be handled by the newα11 AI processor, which reportedly delivers5.6 times higher AI computing performance.
Both G6 and W6 are expected to offer:
165 Hz refresh rate,
Dolby Vision HDR (without Dolby Vision 2),
Google Cast and Apple AirPlay 2,
HDMI Auto Low-Latency Mode,
AMD FreeSync Premium Pro,
Nvidia G-Sync.
This makes them some of the most advanced OLED TVs also in terms of gaming.
LG OLED W6 – the return of the "wallpaper" television
The model LG OLED W6 is generating significant interest, especially since LG did not release any television from the W series in 2025. It is worth remembering that the LG W5 won the CES 2025 Innovation Award, even though it ultimately never made it to stores. Everything suggests that the W6 is an extension of this concept and a genuine return to the idea of an ultra-thin, wall-mounted OLED.
Zero Connect, ultra-thin design, and the future of OLEDs
LG OLED W6 develops the concept of Zero Connect – all HDMI and USB ports are placed in a separate module that communicates with the television wirelessly, allowing only one power cable to lead to the screen. The model will be available only in sizes 77 and 83 inches. The panel is just 9.9 mm thick, making the W6 the thinnest OLED television in LG's history. The new mounting system allows for installation almost flush with the wall. If the leaks are confirmed, LG OLED G6 and W6 could set a new standard for brightness, fluidity, and design in the premium OLED segment in 2026, with full details revealed at the CES 2026 trade show.
