Apple is preparing for one of the most important updates to the iOS system in years. The upcoming iOS 27 is set to introduce a wide array of artificial intelligence features that will be part of the developing Apple Intelligence ecosystem. A few weeks before the WWDC 2026 conference, the first details have leaked online, promising some really significant changes in everyday use of the iPhone.
AI Begins to Understand the World Around the User
One of the most interesting elements is the development of Visual Intelligence features. The iPhone will soon allow for scanning food product labels to automatically analyze their composition and nutritional values. This could be particularly useful for those watching their diet, especially if the feature is integrated with Apple’s health apps. Another new feature is the ability to scan a business card and automatically save the contact in the phone. It’s a small change, but very practical in true Apple style, which often focuses on streamlining everyday tasks.
Smarter applications and less manual work
Artificial intelligence will also make its way to the Safari browser. The system will automatically analyze open tabs and assign them names in groups, making organization easier. For example, if you're browsing computer hardware, iOS will name the group according to the content. Big changes are also coming to Apple Wallet. A new feature will allow you to scan physical tickets or cards and convert them into digital equivalents stored on your phone. This is another step towards full digitalization of the wallet, where the smartphone replaces most physical documents.
