Hisense is accelerating – RGB LED in 55–100 inch televisions by 2026!

Calendar 9/8/2025

Hisense RGB miniLED TriChroma 2026 – 55–100” TVs with 165Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision 2 and HiView AI Engine X processor. A revolution starting at €1499.

At IFA 2025 in Berlin, a confirmation was made that could shake things up in the premium segment. Hisense announced that new LCD televisions with RGB miniLED TriChroma backlighting will hit the market in the second quarter of 2026 – an extension of the RGB LED technology that we recently saw exclusively in giants measuring 115 and 116 inches for 30 thousand dollars. Now it is supposed to be cheaper and much more accessible.

From 55 to 100 inches at reasonable prices

The new line – the successor to the U9 series – is set to include sizes from 55 to 100 inches. Importantly, Hisense is aiming for significantly lower prices than before:

  • 55” – €1499

  • 65” – €1799

  • 75” – €2499

  • 85” – €2999

  • 100” – €4999

In comparison – today, for a 100-inch TV of this brand with RGB LED, you have to shell out even $20,000. The difference is therefore enormous.

HiView AI Engine X and 165 Hz

Technically, the new generation is expected to utilize the HiView AI Engine X processor, which is responsible for intelligent backlight control and real-time image enhancement. Additionally, it will feature a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz, placing these models in a very appealing position for gamers. Hisense will also add a new anti-reflective coating, which is intended to improve viewing comfort in bright rooms. More details will likely be revealed at CES 2026 in January.

Dolby Vision 2 is getting closer

The first TV to support Dolby Vision 2 will be the massive 116UXQ, powered by the MediaTek Pentonic 800 chip – this chip is the first to receive certification for the new standard. There are many indications that models from 2026 will also receive this feature. This is logical since Hisense is a launch partner for Dolby Vision 2.

However, it remains uncertain whether support will also be added to this year's U8Q and U7Q Pro series, which use the same chip. If so, a software update could significantly extend their lifespan in the market.

This is a move that will significantly raise the bar for the competition. A few weeks ago, it was said that Sony is also preparing its own LCD TVs with RGB LED in sizes ranging from 65 to 115 inches for 2026. It seems that next year we will witness one of the more interesting rivalries in the high-end segment.
