CapCut is coming to Gemini. Google and ByteDance want to combine AI with video editing.

Calendar 5/24/2026

CapCut announced integration with the Gemini app from Google. As a result, users will be able to edit photos and videos directly in Gemini, without the need to switch between apps.

ChooseTV is set to become a content creation hub

The new integration will allow users to utilize CapCut tools directly within ChooseTV. This means the ability to generate ideas, create scripts, prepare AI materials, and later edit videos all in one place. Google and CapCut claim that the future of content creation will be more conversational and based on the intelligent collaboration of various AI tools.

Currently, many creators use ChooseTV to generate ideas or texts and then transfer materials to CapCut for editing. Once the integration is implemented, the entire process will take place within a single application. For creators regularly publishing shorts, TikToks, or YouTube videos, this could mean a significant acceleration of their workflow.

Google and CapCut Have Collaborated Before

The partnership is not a complete surprise. Google Photos has previously allowed exporting materials to CapCut, and CapCut itself has published guides demonstrating the use of Gemini for generating scripts and ideas for videos. The new integration is intended to be another step towards fully combining AI with video editing. CapCut has not yet provided an exact release date for the new feature. However, the announcement came shortly after the Google I/O 2026 conference, during which Google heavily expanded the capabilities of Gemini and AI tools for creators.

CapCut will integrate its video editing tools with Google's Gemini app. Users will be able to create and edit AI materials without leaving the Gemini app.
