Anker surprises us again with an idea that could change the way we think about mini projectors. The new Nebula P1 is not just a compact device for outdoor cinema – it is also a clever design with detachable speakers that finally allows for truly spatial sound.
Speakers That Stand Out
The biggest issue with portable projectors has always been the sound. Anker solved this problem in their own way – Nebula P1 has two 10-watt speakers that can simply be… pulled out from the housing and placed anywhere in the room. They connect to the projector wirelessly via Bluetooth, so there's no need to struggle with cables.
Each speaker has its own battery – enough for about 20 hours of operation. The projector itself requires mains power, although Anker has a solution for that as well: SOLIX C300 DC Power Station, a mobile power bank capable of 3.5 hours of viewing.
Full HD Image and 130° Gimbal
Nebula P1 displays an image in Full HD resolution (1080p), with a diagonal of up to 180 inches. The brightness is 650 ANSI lumens, making it best suited for evening use or in a darkened room. The projector features a built-in, rotating gimbal (range 130°), autofocus, keystone correction, and a image stabilizer.
The device has an IP33 rating, which means it is resistant to minor splashes. The speakers are even sturdier – IP54, so they can withstand dust and a rainy evening under the gazebo (though a bath is not advisable).
Google TV on board and the cheaper sibling of the powerful Nebula X1 Pro
The Google TV system provides access to popular services like Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, Hulu, Prime Video. Additionally, there are HDMI 2.1, USB-A, and USB-C ports, so you can connect a console, USB drive, or laptop.
Anker already has a larger model with a similar concept – the Nebula X1 Pro, but that's a device from a different league: 3500 ANSI lumens, two 80-watt speakers, and subwoofers. The price? Almost 3700 USD. In this context, the Nebula P1 looks very reasonable.
Price and Availability
Nebula P1 is already available in the USA and will soon be coming to Europe and the UK. Anker includes a 100” projection screen for free.

Nebula P1 is a projector that has finally approached sound intelligently. Rather than cramming the speakers into the chassis, Anker has allowed them to… break free. Combined with an elegant design, Google TV, and a full set of ports – it could be the most interesting portable projector of the season.
