Xiaomi once again proves that a gaming monitor with good specs doesn't have to cost a fortune. The company unveiled the Redmi G27Q 2026 Standard Edition, which offers a 27-inch Fast IPS panel, WQHD resolution, and a 240 Hz refresh rate. The biggest surprise, however, is the price: in China the device will launch at no more than 799 yuan, roughly $120!

2K 240 Hz Panel

The new Xiaomi monitor is equipped with a Fast IPS panel with a resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels and a 240 Hz refresh rate. The manufacturer specifies a 1 ms GtG response time and a brightness of up to 500 nits.

The Redmi G27Q 2026 Standard Edition also offers 95% DCI-P3 coverage and 100% sRGB. The monitor supports 10-bit color depth implemented via an 8-bit panel with FRC. Each unit is factory calibrated, and the claimed color accuracy is Delta E < 2.

Xiaomi also had gamers in mind

The monitor includes AMD FreeSync Premium and a dynamic overdrive that automatically adjusts the panel's response time to the current frame rate.

It also offers a feature that brightens dark areas of the image, an adjustable on-screen crosshair, and the ability to simulate a 24.5-inch screen. The latter may be of particular interest to fans of CS2 and other esports titles, although FreeSync Premium does not work in this mode.

The monitor is equipped with two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, two HDMI 2.0 ports, and a headphone jack. The stand allows you to adjust height, tilt, swivel, and to set the screen in portrait orientation.

240 Hz for $120. Where does that price come from?

The Redmi G27Q 2026 Standard Edition is the cheaper variant of the series, which also includes a model with a 320 Hz refresh rate.

The new model is due to go on sale in China October 21. The list price is 999 yuan (about $149), but an introductory promotion will reduce it to as low as 799 yuan.

It's not yet clear whether the monitor will also be available in Poland. Keep in mind that the Chinese price does not include European taxes and distribution costs.
