Xbox has prepared a special presentation for the Tokyo Game Show
The Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2026 broadcast will begin on 17 September at 19:00 Japan time, i.e. 03:00 Pacific Time, 06:00 Eastern Time and 11:00 British Summer Time. The show will be available on Xbox’s official channels and on the Tokyo Game Show organisers’ YouTube channel. The event will be hosted by Misuzu Araki, and Xbox promises a special set of content prepared for this year’s event. Viewers will see new gameplay footage and material created specifically for the broadcast. The company has not yet revealed the full list of games that will appear during the presentation. Xbox emphasises, however, that the showcase will focus on titles due to arrive on the platform later this year.
This year’s presence will also celebrate more than 20 years of Xbox in Japan. The company notes that Japanese developers and partners from across Asia have had a significant influence on the development of its platform for over two decades. Xbox will therefore use the Tokyo Game Show not only to present games but also to highlight the importance of the Asian market. The broadcast will also be available with American Sign Language and English audio description. After the show, support will be added for many more languages, including Polish. The list will include, among others, Arabic, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Turkish, Ukrainian and Vietnamese. Xbox notes that the audio during the presentation will be a mix of Japanese and English, so viewers can use subtitles.
Minecraft Dungeons II and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 at the show
One of the main attractions of the Xbox booth will be Minecraft Dungeons II, which will be made available to visitors for the first time at the Tokyo Game Show in Japan. After an earlier debut at gamescom, players will be able to try the next instalment of the cooperative dungeon crawler in person. The title will allow players to re-enter the world of Minecraft, this time with a new adventure focused on cooperative play. Minecraft Dungeons II will debut on 29 September 2026 and will be available on Game Pass from day one. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will also be at the booth. Xbox, together with partner Happinet, will handle the game's presentation. Visitors will be able to try the Multiplayer mode before its worldwide release. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will be released on 23 October 2026. The title will also be featured at Xbox FanFest Tokyo. The Xbox FanFest booth will be located in Hall 6, at booth 06-N4. Xbox has also prepared its distinctive black cat motif, which has served as the company's unofficial mascot at the Tokyo Game Show for several years. This year the cat will appear in the foreground of artwork depicting an intersection in Tokyo, and fans will later be able to help choose its name. Details about the vote will be released on Xbox's official social channels.
Tokyo Game Show 2026 will be an opportunity for Xbox to showcase new games and to underline the importance of the Japanese market.
