The manufacturer has focused on strong references to the original Xbox, which debuted on the market over two decades ago. The result is a limited edition of the Xbox Series X console and a new controller designed in the characteristic style. This is equipment intended to remind players of the beginnings of one of the most important brands in the history of the gaming industry.
Xbox Series X25 is a tribute to the first generation of consoles
The key element of the anniversary collection is the Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition. Microsoft has for the first time used a partially transparent casing inspired by the look of the original Xbox in a modern console. The design is maintained in the characteristic shade of green that has been associated with the brand for years. The manufacturer has taken care of numerous details referring to the history of the console. Already at the start-up of the device, users will see a green illumination of the X symbol. The casing also features a special logo prepared for the 25th anniversary of the brand. The console retains the full specifications of the standard Xbox Series X, offering, among other things, 1 TB of memory for games and applications. Microsoft emphasises that the project is not just a visual change, but a form of thanks to the community that has supported Xbox over the years. The creators have also hidden several additional Easter eggs and references to the platform's history. The whole is designed to evoke memories related to the first generation of consoles. At the same time, the hardware retains all the capabilities of the current generation of Xbox. This is primarily aimed at collectors and the most devoted fans of the brand. The limited nature of the device means that interest in it may be very high.

The second element of the collection is the Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition. The controller has also received a translucent casing in green colour scheme. The designers have included many references to the first accessories of the brand. The colourful ABXY buttons refer to the original appearance of Xbox controllers. The controller will be available both in a bundle with the anniversary console and separately. This way, more people will be able to acquire this unique collection item without having to buy the entire console. Microsoft has not yet revealed the official price of the devices. However, it is known that sales will begin in selected countries as early as November. The company also announces further attractions related to the 25th anniversary celebrations of the brand. Everything indicates that the Xbox anniversary will be one of the most significant events for the community of this platform in 2026.
