The new patch for Kingdom Come focuses on stability and important fixes.

Calendar 4/20/2026

Kingdom Come: Deliverance has received a new patch, which may not add fresh content but does something equally important by addressing technical issues and improving the overall quality of gameplay. The developers have primarily focused on stability, as crashes and various bugs were one of the biggest downsides of the game.

Changes on PC

On computers, several specific issues that could be irritating during normal gameplay have been fixed. The game should no longer freeze when using the delete key in the menu, and a bug related to transferring items to a new game has been eliminated. The functionality of audio add-ons has also been refined, as they could previously fail to load correctly. In the version from the Microsoft Store, it is finally possible to use DLC even without the internet, which was a significant limitation before. Additionally, there are new language localisations and an update to version 1.9.7.

Consoles are running more stably

On consoles, the patches are even more noticeable. The developers have fixed many crashes related to memory, sound, and synchronisation, so the game should run much more smoothly. This is not one specific change, but rather a whole set of improvements that together make a significant difference.

On PlayStation 5, the long-awaited option to transfer trophies from PlayStation 4 has appeared. However, it does not work perfectly one-to-one, as the system is based on game saves and current conditions. In practice, this means that some achievements will unlock after loading the save, but others may be skipped if their conditions are no longer met. On Xbox, the focus has mainly been on system stability. The game freezing when the console goes to sleep has been fixed, as well as the crash issue when cancelling cloud synchronisation.

This is an update that doesn't make a fuss with new content but genuinely improves the gaming experience. Fewer bugs and better stability make a real difference in the case of Kingdom Come.
