The new MSI monitor sets a record. QD-OLED offers up to 680 Hz refresh rate.

During the Computex 2026 fair, MSI showcased the MPG OLED 322URDX36 monitor, which may set a new direction for the development of gaming displays. The device utilises the latest QD-OLED panel developed by Samsung Display and offers specifications that just recently seemed unattainable for consumer screens. The manufacturer focused not only on high resolution but also on record-fast refresh rates. As a result, the monitor is aimed at both e-sports enthusiasts and those expecting the highest quality image during everyday use.

The new QD-OLED offers three operating modes and even 680 Hz

The biggest attraction of the new MSI monitor is the use of the so-called Triple Mode. This means the ability to choose between three image configurations depending on the user's needs. The first option offers full resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels at a refresh rate of 360 Hz. The second allows switching the screen to 2560 x 1440 pixels and increasing the frequency to 520 Hz. However, the most impressive is the third mode, which lowers the resolution to Full HD and raises the refresh rate to 680 Hz. Such parameters may primarily interest professional gamers competing in dynamic online productions. The monitor also utilises the DisplayPort 2.1a interface, which allows handling such high values without bandwidth limitations. MSI emphasises that this is the first monitor on the market to offer three different performance levels in one device. As a result, the user can adjust the equipment for both demanding AAA games and tournament e-sports productions. The manufacturer hopes that this solution will increase the versatility of the monitor. In practice, one screen is supposed to replace several different designs intended for various applications. This approach may prove particularly attractive for gamers who do not want to choose between image quality and maximum fluidity.

A new generation of QD-OLED improves image quality and readability

MSI has utilised the latest fifth-generation QD-OLED panel developed by Samsung Display. One of the most significant changes is the use of an RGB Stripe pixel arrangement, which is designed to enhance the sharpness of displayed text and reduce the effect of colourful fringes visible in older OLED designs. This is good news not only for gamers but also for those who use the monitor for work. The manufacturer has also implemented a new anti-reflective coating that is intended to deal more effectively with light reflections in bright rooms. As a result, the screen should maintain deep blacks even in strong ambient lighting. MSI also claims a peak brightness of 1500 nits. This is a value that allows full use of modern HDR material capabilities. Thus, the monitor should perform well both during gaming and when watching films or working with multimedia. Unfortunately, the release is still some time away. Samsung Display is only beginning mass production of the new panels in the second half of 2026. For this reason, MSI plans to introduce the monitor to the market only at the beginning of 2027. The company has not yet disclosed the price of the device, but one can expect it to be in the premium segment.

MPG OLED 322URDX36 is one of the most advanced gaming monitors presented in 2026. The combination of 4K resolution, a refresh rate of 360 Hz, and a mode that allows achieving even 680 Hz makes the equipment stand out against the competition. Additionally, the new generation of QD-OLED panels is expected to improve image quality and everyday usability. The biggest downside remains the distant release date. However, if MSI maintains high build quality, the monitor could become one of the most sought-after models for demanding gamers.
