Sony has prepared a real treat for fans of Marvel’s Wolverine and the PlayStation brand. The company has unveiled a limited edition PS5 Digital Edition in Battle Yellow, which directly references Logan’s distinctive look. The console’s casing is adorned with striking marks from adamantium claws, giving the impression that Wolverine has literally ripped his way through its interior. The set also includes a special DualSense controller with a matching design. But that’s just the beginning, as Sony has also prepared separate accessories for PS5 Slim and PS5 Pro owners.
PS5 Battle Yellow looks like a console ripped from the Marvel universe
The standout item in the new collection is PS5 Digital Edition: Marvel’s Wolverine Battle Yellow Limited Edition Bundle. The console features an intense yellow finish inspired by one of the most recognisable colours associated with Wolverine. The casing bears distinctive claw marks that are not merely a print but are designed to appear as if the device's surface has been sliced open. Beneath the damaged layer you can make out components from inside the console's internals, which gives the design a very unusual character. The matching DualSense also features a pattern inspired by Logan's claws and is rendered in an aggressive style. The design comes from Scottish artist Jock, who also created key graphic assets for Marvel’s Wolverine. The artist combined his signature hand-drawn linework with the modern look of PlayStation hardware. According to the design team, they wanted to capture the raw energy and brutal nature of Wolverine. The concept is therefore simple: the hardware is meant to look as if it had been taken straight from the world of the upcoming game. However, Sony did not limit itself to a single console version. Fans will also be able to pick up additional accessories inspired by other elements of Logan's story.
PS5 Pro will get a special adamantium-inspired version
Sony has also prepared a special collection for owners of the PS5 Pro. In this case the design mainly references adamantium, the exceptionally durable material fused to Wolverine’s bones and claws. The PS5 Pro will receive a dedicated console cover, the Marvel’s Wolverine Adamantium Limited Edition, with a metallic finish. As with the standard Battle Yellow version, the surface features distinctive claw marks, making the design look as if Logan is trying to claw his way through the casing. A stylistically matching DualSense Wireless Controller, Marvel’s Wolverine Adamantium Limited Edition, will also be available. The controller will feature a metallic adamantium-inspired finish and the same motif of characteristic slash marks. Owners of older or standard PS5 Slim models haven’t been forgotten either. Sony will offer separate Battle Yellow covers that will be available for different console variants. Pre-orders for the console and the new accessories will begin on 19 August at 10:00 local time. The game Marvel’s Wolverine will debut on 15 September 2026 exclusively on PlayStation 5, so the new accessories will appear just a few weeks before the release of one of Sony’s most important games of the year.

The limited PS5 Battle Yellow has been given a distinctive yellow finish and striking claw marks that make the console look truly unusual. A matching DualSense controller has also been prepared to complete the set. PS5 Pro owners will be able to buy an Adamantium cover and a matching controller. Pre-orders start on 19 August, and the game itself will arrive on PS5 on 15 September. For collectors, this could be one of the more interesting limited PlayStation hardware editions.
