Sony is expanding its range of audio accessories for gamers with an entirely new product. The Pulse Elevate are designed to combine the sound quality associated with more advanced devices with the convenience of wireless speakers. The manufacturer has developed them with both the gaming setup and use away from home in mind. Pre-orders in selected markets will begin on 2 September.
Pulse Elevate are designed to deliver high-quality sound while gaming
The new Sony speakers feature planar magnetic drivers, which aim to deliver detailed and natural sound across the audible range. On PS5 this technology also works with Tempest 3D AudioTech, allowing more precise localisation of sounds in compatible games. Built-in woofers provide stronger bass. An important element of the Pulse Elevate is PlayStation Link, which provides low latency and lossless audio transmission. The speakers will be compatible with PS5, PC, Mac and PlayStation Portal. The devices also support Bluetooth, so users can connect an additional device without having to give up audio transmitted via PlayStation Link. Sony has also addressed voice communication. The right speaker includes a built-in microphone with AI-assisted noise reduction, designed to remove unwanted background sounds. This lets users take part in voice chats while gaming without wearing headphones.
Wireless speakers you can take away from your gaming setup
The Pulse Elevate are meant to be more than a typical desktop speaker set. Thanks to the built-in battery, they can also be used away from the desk, for example when gaming on the PlayStation Portal or a mobile device via Bluetooth. Docking stations will also be included to make charging easier when you return to your desk.
Users will also be able to tailor the sound to their own preferences. From the PS5 or a PC you can adjust, among other things, the equaliser, sidetone, volume and microphone mute. The speakers themselves can be positioned either horizontally or vertically, depending on the setup. The Pulse Elevate will debut in Midnight Black and White. On selected Southeast Asian markets the launch is scheduled for 12 November 2026, with pre-orders starting on 2 September. Sony has set the prices at 319 SGD, 1,099 MYR, 8,499 THB, 14,709 PHP or 6,999,000 VND, depending on the market.
Pulse Elevate is the first wireless speaker set developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment with gamers using the PS5 and other devices in mind. The key elements of the set are planar drivers, PlayStation Link, a built-in microphone with AI noise reduction and a battery allowing the speakers to be used away from your desk. The product is intended as an interesting alternative for people who do not want to use headphones while gaming. Sony has so far confirmed a 12 November launch in selected Southeast Asian markets, and details on availability in other regions will be revealed later.
