LG is introducing the CineBeam AI HU925V projector to the Japanese market, which can produce an image up to 120 inches diagonal without having to place the unit at the far end of the room. The new model uses three RGB lasers, delivers 4K resolution and 3,000 ANSI lumens of brightness. It also includes artificial intelligence features.
120 inches almost flush to the wall
The LG CineBeam AI HU925V is an ultra-short-throw (UST) DLP projector. To produce a 90-inch diagonal image a gap of just 5.6 cm from the wall is enough. At 9.8 cm you get 100 inches, while 18.3 cm delivers the maximum 120 inches.
The unit uses three independent lasers for the red, green and blue colours. The manufacturer claims a brightness of 3000 ANSI lumens, 94% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour space and a contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1. The projector also supports HDR10 and HLG.
Artificial intelligence and the webOS system
On board is the Alpha 8 AI 4K Gen3 processor, which handles image and sound optimisation. The projector runs webOS 26, offering access to apps such as Netflix, YouTube and Prime Video. It also supports Google Cast, AirPlay 2 and AI features powered by Google Gemini.
LG has equipped the device with stereo speakers delivering a total of 40 W and Dolby Atmos FlexConnect technology, allowing the sound system to be expanded with compatible wireless speakers.
The CineBeam AI HU925V already debuted in September in South Korea, and will go on sale in Japan at the end of October. The expected price is about approximately 616,000 yen, which is about PLN 15,000 by direct conversion. So far LG has not confirmed a Polish price or availability date.
