June looks particularly interesting for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Sony has revealed another batch of games that will join the Extra and Premium service catalog. This time, players can look forward to both major RPG productions, dynamic action games, and a few less obvious titles that could turn out to be a pleasant surprise.
Final Fantasy XVI and Sonic lead the June offering
The standout title of the update is undoubtedly Final Fantasy XVI. The latest instalment of the iconic series takes players to the dark world of Valisthea, where political conflicts, power struggles, and personal revenge play a key role. It is also one of the most spectacular entries in the series, heavily emphasising a dynamic combat system. The second major release is Sonic X Shadow Generations, which combines a revamped version of the cult classic Sonic Generations with an entirely new campaign dedicated to Shadow. Players will uncover the story of one of the most recognisable heroes in the Sonic universe while returning to classic stages with a new graphical style. The offering also includes Life is Strange: Double Exposure, where we will once again take on the role of Max Caulfield. The protagonist will attempt to unravel the mystery of a murder while navigating between two parallel realities.
RPG, simulators and classics for subscribers
Fans of realistic RPGs can prepare for Kingdom Come: Deliverance, which will be available in the catalogue in a refreshed version for PS5. The game allows players to experience the medieval story of Henry, the son of a blacksmith caught up in a brutal armed conflict.
Among the other new arrivals, there are also:
Farming Simulator 25
Blades of Fire
Black Desert
Meanwhile, users of the Premium package will gain access to the classic rhythm game Gitaroo Man, which returns to modern PlayStation consoles after many years.
The June update for PlayStation Plus is one of the strongest since the beginning of the year. Sony is primarily focusing on large RPG titles and action games, but it also does not forget about fans of simulators and classic titles. Undoubtedly, the greatest interest will be generated by Final Fantasy XVI, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and Sonic X Shadow Generations, which could effectively attract new subscribers to the service.
