Philips Evnia 25M4P5200T is going on sale in China. It is a 24.5-inch gaming monitor with a BOE ADS Pro panel that achieves 1000 Hz at its native resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. The price is 7,999 yuan, around €1,060 before taxes and import costs.
1000 Hz without dropping below Full HD
The monitor's biggest distinguishing feature is, of course, the refresh rate. The Evnia 25M4P5200T achieves 1000 Hz without lowering the resolution below Full HD. At that refresh rate each frame remains on the screen for around one millisecond. The manufacturer specifies a response time of 0.2 ms GtG and 0.1 ms MPRT. The panel also offers 99% sRGB coverage and 95% DCI-P3. The monitor has received DisplayHDR 400 certification, and in HDR mode it can reach up to 450 nits.
DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1
In terms of connectors, Philips has not stuck to the basic complement of ports. The monitor has DisplayPort 2.1 and two HDMI 2.1 ports. It also supports FreeSync Premium and G-SYNC, which are intended to reduce tearing when the frame rate varies. The Evnia 25M4P5200T was shown for the first time on 20 May at a BOE event. The monitor has now gone on sale in China. Philips has not yet given a date for the European launch. Interestingly, this is not the only monitor with a BOE panel reaching 1000 Hz. AOC AGON PRO AGP257FT, which we wrote about a few days ago, uses a similar 24.5-inch panel and when overclocked reaches 1050 Hz. This model is due to appear in Germany in the first quarter of 2027.
