Optoma is expanding its line of home projectors with the model UZZ58LV – a compact yet powerful 4K DLP projector capable of displaying an image diagonal of up to 320 inches. This is equipment that aims to appeal as much to film lovers as to gamers seeking immersive experiences.
Laser instead of lamp – brightness and durability
The new UZZ58LV uses a dual laser light source, which generates brightness at a level of 3000 lumens and ensures vivid colours even in well-lit rooms. Lifespan? Up to 30,000 hours of operation, which in practice means years of use without lamp replacement. Although it is not a natively 4K projector, the Texas Instruments XPR technology effectively shifts pixels, delivering an image with a resolution that – according to Optoma – “is indistinguishable from true 4K.”
Home cinema in full colour
The projector covers 95% of the DCI-P3 colour space, and its proprietary PureEngine system employs AI algorithms to optimise colour, contrast, detail, and motion smoothness. For image purists, there is a Filmmaker Mode, as well as ISF Day and ISF Night modes, which adjust parameters to lighting conditions.
Contrast? Impressive 3,000,000:1, with full support for HDR10+.
Compact, flexible, ready for anything
Despite such advanced technology, the UZZ58LV remains surprisingly small – the manufacturer emphasises that it can even be placed on the palm of your hand. With features such as 1.6x zoom, vertical lens shift, four-point correction, auto-keystone, or even 360° projection, it can be installed virtually anywhere – including on the ceiling.
Ideal for Gamers!
The Optoma UZZ58LV supports 120 Hz in 4K and even 240 Hz in 1080p, with a latency of just 8.5 ms (or lower at a lower resolution). In practice, this means smooth gameplay without lag and motion blur, along with a massive, cinematic picture.
Price and availability
The projector is now globally available at the price of:
Region | Price |

🇺🇸 USA | $2,299 |
🇬🇧 UK | £1,999 |
🇪🇺 Europe | €2,190 |

Optoma UZZ58LV looks like a projector that could shake up the compact 4K laser segment – not just for film enthusiasts, but also for gamers. Brightness, HDR10+, 120 Hz in 4K, and surprising portability make it a model that can easily replace a television… of any size.
