Next week, Xbox console owners and Windows PC users will gain access to more than 20 new games, ranging from major releases to smaller indie titles. From 10 to 14 August, Microsoft's platforms will welcome Madden NFL 27, Wild Blue Skies, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam and No More Room in Hell 2, among others. There will also be quieter releases for fans of puzzles, simulators and logic games. Some of the new releases will be available straight away on Xbox Game Pass, so subscribers can try them out without buying the full game. Microsoft has prepared a really varied week in which everyone should find something for themselves.
Major Xbox releases next week
One of the most important launches will be EA SPORTS Madden NFL 27, which will debut on 13 August on Xbox Series X|S. The title will receive, among other things, a new Persona Engine, intended to make players behave in a more varied and responsive manner. Players can also expect changes to the gameplay, an expanded G.O.A.T. career and a revamped team upgrade system. EA Play members will get access to a 10-hour trial, while those who ordered the Deluxe edition can start playing from 10 August.
On the same day Sandustry will arrive on Xbox Game Pass — a game focused on automating production and exploring a fully destructible world. Also on 13 August Hell Let Loose: Vietnam will debut, taking players into the realities of the Vietnam War. The title will offer vast battlefields, jungles, tunnels, helicopters, patrol boats and squad-based teamwork. Fans of more arcade-style action can check out Wild Blue Skies, a modern take on the classic rail shooters of 90s arcade machines. The game will feature aerial combat, high scores and a retro-styled campaign. Also worth noting is Duskfade, arriving on 12 August. It’s an action platformer inspired by classic 3D titles, combining jumping, combat, gliding and the use of a grappling hook. That same day on Xbox the Pool Cleaning Simulator will debut, a title for players who enjoy games in the style of PowerWash Simulator. Players will clean neglected pools and gradually restore them to pristine condition.
Smaller games also have something to offer
The week starts on 10 August with the release of Pieced Together, a relaxing scrapbooking game about friendship and growing up. On 11 August we'll see, among others, Akatori, a blend of metroidvania and a fast-paced action platformer in which Mako must face the mysterious Amber Storms. The same day will also see the debuts of Bunny Pit Berry, Iridio, No More Room in Hell 2 and the skill-based roguelite Trash Raccoon.
On 12 August the release list will be complemented by, among others, Pets Survivors, in which the player takes the role of various animals fighting hordes of enemies. The title offers 14 playable animals, each with their own abilities and stats. The aforementioned Pool Cleaning Simulator will also come to Xbox, and the following day will bring a real surge of further releases. On 13 August, among others, Pro Jank Footy, Barkside Roads, Emergency Room Simulator, Idle Immortal, Kaboomania, Panzer Knights: Commander’s Edition, Plungeez and Skatesterre will debut. Among them are a humorous sports game, an emergency room simulator, an arcade action title and classic puzzle games. On 14 August the week of releases will be rounded off by titles such as Hidden Legends 2, Hunahpu Quest: Mechanoid, Lootbound, No More Slimes!! and Tower Dominion.
Microsoft has prepared for the coming days an exceptionally diverse slate of releases, which includes both major productions and small indie titles. The most attention is likely to be drawn to Madden NFL 27, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam and Wild Blue Skies. However, we must not forget the games available via Xbox Game Pass, such as Sandustry. Fans of more relaxed gameplay will also find something for themselves, including Pieced Together or Pool Cleaning Simulator. All the releases scheduled for 10–14 August 2026 show that Xbox is entering another week with a very wide range of offerings for its users.
