Netflix reveals a huge list of premieres for 2026. Narnia, Enola Holmes 3, One Piece S2 and new monsters from the creators of Stranger Things!

Calendar 1/9/2026

Netflix has unveiled an impressive slate of releases for 2026. Among the announced highlights are Greta Gerwig’s Narnia, Enola Holmes 3, One Piece season 2, the final season of The Witcher, and new series from the creators of Stranger Things. The platform is promising hundreds of premieres and an exceptionally busy year.

Netflix has revealed a large part of its catalogue of series and films for the year 2026. The list includes both sequels to major hits and completely new projects – from high-budget fantasy to documentary series and live broadcasts.

Following the conclusion in 2025 of two key franchises – Stranger Things and Squid Game – the platform enters 2026 with a new strategy. One of the pillars will be the animated series Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 and a completely new production from the Duffer brothers – The Boroughs, once again set in a horror and monster theme.

Many Series, Fewer Films

In the competition with Amazon, Apple TV+, Disney, and other players, Netflix remains the most aggressive in terms of the number of premieres. New content is expected to hit the platform several times a week on average. At the same time, in 2026, Netflix will still be competing with HBO Max – the acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery is not expected to occur until the end of the year. Among the most talked-about series and films are:

  • Enola Holmes 3

  • Beef season 2

  • new series Man on Fire

  • science fiction film War Machine

  • One Piece season 2

  • new version of Little House on the Prairie

  • animated Alley Cats by Ricky Gervais

  • Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man

  • final season of The Witcher

Steven Spielberg is preparing the documentary Dinosaurs.

The Biggest Hit of 2026 – Narnia

The biggest Netflix film in 2026 could be Narnia directed by Greta Gerwig. The production will hit IMAX theatres two weeks before its streaming debut in December 2026. There is currently little information available, and no video materials have been shown yet. The exclusive agreement with IMAX has faced sharp criticism from parts of the film industry, which views it as undermining traditional theatrical distribution.

Netflix announces that this is not the end of the announcements. More titles and exact release dates are set to be revealed throughout 2026. If this list is a harbinger of direction, the platform is focusing on scale, recognisable brands, and big names – even at the expense of fewer theatrical blockbusters.
