LG is not slowing down in the medical equipment segment. The Korean manufacturer has just presented the new surgical monitor 32HS710S – a 31.5-inch 4K (3840 × 2160) screen, which is set to significantly improve the comfort of surgical teams. The device has received FDA 510(k) approval, paving the way for its sales in the American market.
Image in 4K Quality and Customisation of Modes
The monitor offers a brightness level of 800 cd/m², a coverage of 95% DCI-P3, and full compliance with the DICOM standard. However, the key features are the smart additions – you can independently set image modes for each signal source, and thanks to dedicated hotkeys, change configurations with a single click. Picture-by-Picture and Picture-in-Picture modes are also available.
Durability under the lights of the operating room
In operations, there is no room for compromise. That is why LG has opted for Optical Bonding glass with Anti-Glare, Anti-Reflection and Anti-Fingerprint coatings, which minimise reflections and ensure readability under bright surgical lighting. Additionally, the IP45 front, IP32 rear protection rating and mechanical resistance of IK06 make the equipment ready for intensive working conditions.
Reliability in Critical Moments
If the main signal is interrupted, the monitor automatically switches to the backup source thanks to the Failover Input Switch feature. Additionally, there are Mirror, Rotation modes and the Clone Screen option, perfect for training and teamwork.
LG focuses on workflow and comfort
“In designing the 32HS710S, we concentrated on minimising distractions for the surgeon – quick switching, ready presets, and emergency systems help with what matters most: patient care” – emphasises YS Lee, head of the IT department at LG Media Entertainment Solution Company.
The new LG monitor combines high image quality, durability, and clever solutions that genuinely support daily work in the operating room.
