Sony has unveiled two new limited-edition DualSense controllers created to mark the release of Grand Theft Auto VI. Both models are inspired by the atmosphere of Vice City, which will be one of the key locations in Rockstar Games' upcoming title. The controllers will be offered in black and white colourways and feature distinctive elements referencing the city. They go on sale on 19 November 2026, the same day GTA VI is released. Pre-orders for both models begin on 10 September.

Two controllers inspired by Vice City

Sony has prepared two limited-edition DualSense controllers: Grand Theft Auto VI Black Limited Edition and Grand Theft Auto VI White Limited Edition. Both variants are designed to capture Vice City's distinctive style. The manufacturer has used an iridescent surface that changes colour depending on the viewing angle. The finish blends hues associated with Vice City's sunsets and the neon lights that illuminate the city at night. The shell also features special palm motifs. Crucially, these elements are integrated directly into the controller's construction, so they also have a tactile texture. There is also official Grand Theft Auto VI branding. The white version is intended to depict Vice City by day, referencing bright beaches, a pastel sky and the city's more relaxed character. The black variant, meanwhile, has been designed as a tribute to Vice City's nightlife. Both models will be produced in limited numbers. The white version will appear in the official PlayStation store and with selected retailers in specific markets. The black model will be available directly from PlayStation where the direct.playstation.com store operates, and in other regions it will be offered by selected retailers.

DualSense will make use of the PS5’s capabilities in GTA VI

The new controllers are not limited to a changed appearance, as GTA VI will also use the DualSense’s distinctive features. Haptic feedback will respond to on-screen events and convey different sensations related to the action. Adaptive triggers will provide dynamic resistance when using various gameplay elements. Sony says that thanks to these solutions Jason and Lucia’s story will be felt more directly in the player’s hands. The controller’s functions will react to events occurring during gameplay. This is part of a broader promotion of GTA VI as a title that leverages the PlayStation 5’s capabilities. Rockstar Games is preparing the game for release on 19 November 2026. The game will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. PC was not listed among the platforms announced for this release. The limited controllers themselves will be compatible accessories for PS5 owners. Their recommended retail price will be $84.99, that is 370 zł, depending on the market. In Japan the price has been set at ¥12,480 including tax. Pre-orders will begin on 10 September at 10:00 local time in the specified markets. Exact availability and the controllers’ release date may, however, vary by country.
