New information has emerged online suggesting that Grand Theft Auto VI may soon receive an official start to pre-orders. According to leaks, the pre-order campaign for the game from Rockstar Games is set to begin on 18 May.
A leak has emerged regarding GTA 6 pre-orders
The source of all the commotion is an email supposedly sent to partners of the Best Buy store. The email allegedly contained information about a special promotional window for physical GTA 6 pre-orders running from 18 to 21 May 2026.
The content of the message quickly began circulating on forums such as ResetEra and GTA Forums. Several users confirmed receiving identical emails, making the leak appear increasingly credible. However, reports suggest that it is not about a limited-time pre-order offer, but rather a promotional period for Best Buy's affiliate partners.
The potential start date for the pre-orders aligns very well with the upcoming financial report from Take-Two Interactive scheduled for 21 May. Speculation has arisen in the industry that the company may want to boast about a record number of orders during the financial results presentation.
Some analysts predict that GTA 6 could break all previous pre-order records in the gaming industry. However, it is still unknown what the final price of the game will be. In recent months, there have been speculations about a price of even 100 dollars, although some experts believe that a price around 80 dollars remains more realistic.
A new leak suggests that Rockstar might launch pre-orders for GTA 6 as early as 18 May. Although the information remains unofficial, there are many indications that the game's marketing campaign is entering another major phase ahead of the planned release in November 2026.
