Google is developing its assistant on televisions and is doing so specifically. Gemini on Google TV is getting a major update that changes the way AI is used on the big screen. Instead of simple answers, a more interactive experience emerges, combining images, videos, and text. New interface and more visible Gemini
One of the first changes is the relocation of Gemini to a more prominent position. The assistant now appears directly on the top bar next to sections like Home and Apps. This indicates that Google wants AI to be a central element of the system, rather than just an addition hidden in a menu. Additionally, there is the “Dive deeper” option, which allows you to explore the subject further and receive more detailed explanations. This makes the television start to function a bit like an interactive educational platform.
Google is also developing features for sports fans. The new “sports briefs” offer brief, narrative summaries of events for those who didn't manage to watch the match. Users receive scores, highlights and key information about teams and players all in one place. This solution is aimed at people who want to stay updated but don’t always have time for full broadcasts.
The new update shows that Google wants to turn Gemini into something more than just a regular assistant. AI on the television is meant to be more visual, interactive, and useful in everyday life. If this direction holds, Google TV could become one of the most interesting smart TV systems on the market.
