At the same time, the Gemini Memory feature emerges, allowing the system to utilise previous conversations. This means that Gemini can remember the context and user preferences, rather than treating each interaction from scratch. In practice, this translates to more natural conversations and less repetition of the same information.
Google emphasises that the user still has control over which data is used. You can choose which applications Gemini has access to, as well as disable Personal Intelligence for specific queries. This is important, as the growing capabilities of AI also increase the need for privacy management.

Free access to Personal Intelligence and the introduction of memory is a significant step towards a more 'personal' assistant.
