Free Play Days is back – several games to play for free on Xbox

Calendar 4/26/2026

Xbox is once again launching Free Play Days, a weekend event where you can test selected games at no extra cost. This time, the lineup is quite diverse, so regardless of whether you enjoy sports, strategy, or survival, there will be something to try out.

What games are available

As part of the promotion, Xbox Game Pass (Ultimate, Premium and Essential) users gain access to the games. Among the titles, we have MLB The Show 26, which focuses on a realistic baseball experience, as well as Anno 117: Pax Romana, where you manage a city during the Roman Empire and make strategic decisions that affect its development. Additionally, there is The Survivalists, a more casual survival game with elements of crafting and exploration. Interestingly, Age of Mythology: Retold is available to all Xbox players, even without a subscription, making this edition of Free Play Days even more attractive.

Ideal opportunity to try out games

Such events are a great way to test games before buying. You can try out the mechanics, see if a particular title suits you, and decide whether it's worth spending money on. Additionally, if you decide to purchase the game, you retain all the progress and achievements earned during the free weekend. This is especially useful for larger productions where it's difficult to assess quality without a few hours of gameplay.

Free Play Days is another great opportunity from Xbox to try out some interesting titles without any risk. If you have Game Pass or simply want to try something new, it is worth making the most of this weekend and seeing what the available games have to offer.
