Forza Horizon 6 has not officially debuted yet, but it is already achieving impressive player activity results. Early access for holders of the Premium edition started on 15 May and instantly attracted crowds of racing fans.
Over 170 thousand players simultaneously on Steam
According to initial data, Forza Horizon 6 has already exceeded 172 thousand concurrent players on the Steam platform just a few hours after the launch of Advanced Access. This is an enormous achievement, especially as the full release of the game will not take place until 19 May. Players gain early access by purchasing the more expensive Premium edition costing £119.99. The new Forza has also swiftly climbed to second place on the Steam bestseller list, second only to Subnautica 2, which has also had a very strong start.
Forza Horizon 6 surpasses its predecessor
The results of the new installment are significantly better than Forza Horizon 5. The previous entry in the series reached a maximum of around 81,000 concurrent players on Steam, which means that Horizon 6 has already surpassed it by over 100 percent. The true number of players is likely even higher, as Steam data does not include users on Xbox Series X|S and Microsoft Store on PC.
Forza Horizon 6 moves the action to Japan and offers a vast open world inspired by the local culture, cities, and racetracks. The game features over 550 cars, extensive customization, and new social features. Microsoft is heavily promoting the production as one of the biggest Xbox launches of 2026, and everything indicates that the full launch of the game could set a record for the entire series.
Forza Horizon 6 has had a fantastic launch even before its official premiere. The game achieved over 170 thousand concurrent players on Steam and is already noticeably surpassing the results of the previous installment in the series.
