The OLED monitor market is developing at an exceptionally rapid pace, and Asus intends to capitalise on this trend. The company has unveiled a record number of new models, expanding its range for both gamers and professional users. The portfolio now includes devices fitted with QD-OLED and WOLED panels, offering the latest technologies to improve image quality. The manufacturer is also focusing on modern connectivity and very high refresh rates. Some monitors are already on sale, with more set to debut in the coming months. Asus now has one of the largest OLED monitor lineups on the market.
Asus has unveiled a record line-up of OLED monitors
In 2026 Asus announced as many as 15 new OLED monitors with diagonals from 25 to 34 inches. The range includes models that replace older designs as well as entirely new devices. The manufacturer uses two main types of panels – WOLED and QD-OLED. Some models feature the latest Penta Tandem QD-OLED panels, while the others are based on Tandem WOLED technology. The XG series is aimed primarily at gamers, while the PG models target the most demanding users. Asus is also expanding its ProArt line for graphic designers, photographers and content creators. The monitors offer resolutions from Full HD to 4K and refresh rates from 120 Hz up to an impressive 720 Hz. The range includes flat 16:9 designs and two curved 21:9 models. The manufacturer is increasingly adopting modern DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1 connectors. ProArt models additionally offer Thunderbolt 4 and USB-C with up to 96 W power delivery. Most of the new monitors are already reaching shops around the world. The remaining models are set to go on sale gradually later this year.
New technologies aim to improve image quality and user comfort
One of the most significant additions is BlackShield technology developed by Samsung Display. The solution reduces the effect of blacks appearing lighter in brightly lit rooms that occurred with earlier QD-OLED panels. Selected WOLED monitors have also received a TrueBlack Glossy coating, which is intended to provide higher contrast and a more vivid picture than traditional matte finishes. For the first time, Asus has implemented an RGB-stripe pixel layout in some OLED gaming monitors. The solution improves text readability and the quality of displayed graphics. However, the manufacturer has decided to keep this technology only in selected gaming models. The range covers monitors for a wide variety of users, from professionals to the most demanding e-sports players. Asus hopes this will help it compete more effectively with brands such as Dell, LG, Samsung, MSI and Acer. The expanded portfolio should also make it easier for customers to choose a monitor tailored to their specific needs. At the same time, the manufacturer is focusing on ever more advanced image and connectivity standards. Everything suggests the OLED monitor segment will remain one of the fastest-growing areas of the computer market.
Asus is significantly increasing its presence in the OLED monitor market, unveiling no fewer than 15 new models. With a wide range, modern imaging technologies and highly varied specifications, the manufacturer aims to compete effectively with the biggest brands in the premium monitor segment.
