Apple TV rebrands and announces the premiere of “F1 The Movie”! Discover the 3 best TVs for 4K Dolby Vision streaming – from premium to budget-friendly models.

Apple has officially rebranded its streaming service – Apple TV+ is now simply called Apple TV. The information appeared inconspicuously in a footnote beneath the press release regarding the premiere of the film “F1 The Movie”, but it is likely just the beginning of more significant changes in the Apple ecosystem.

“Apple TV+ is now simply Apple TV – with a new, dynamic identity,” the company announced.

Rumours have been circulating online for some time that Apple is preparing for the launch of the new Apple TV 4K streaming device, which could signify another wave of changes in the streaming and hardware offerings. And that’s good, because the current naming conventions are especially confusing for many users.

“F1 The Movie” streaming premiere in December

Apple has confirmed that “F1 The Movie” will be available on the Apple TV platform (formerly Apple TV+) on 12 December 2025 as part of the standard subscription. The film debuted in cinemas on 25 June 2025 and after 57 days – on 22 August – it was available for digital purchase. It has already grossed 629 million dollars globally, becoming the highest-grossing sports film in history.

On the Apple TV platform, it will be available in 4K Dolby Vision with Dolby Atmos sound.
