Apple is preparing for a triple launch. The iPad Pro, Vision Pro, and MacBook with M5 are getting closer!

Calendar 10/13/2025

Apple is gearing up for a triple launch – iPad Pro, Vision Pro and MacBook Pro with the M5 chip. A new generation of devices is just around the corner!

Apple is not slowing down. After the calm launches at the end of summer, the company from Cupertino is preparing a surprise – and not just one. As reported by Mark Gurman in his latest newsletter Power On, we may see even three new devices as soon as next week – all signs point to the iPad Pro, the refreshed Apple Vision Pro and the 14-inch MacBook Pro, all based on the Apple M5 chip.

iPad Pro with M5 and 12 GB RAM. Subtle changes, greater power

The new iPad Pro with M5 is set to be a classic example of how Apple raises the bar without changing the philosophy of the product. From the outside – almost identical to its predecessor with M4, with one exception: the inscription “iPad Pro” will disappear from the casing. However, much more is happening inside.

The tablet is expected to start with 12 GB RAM, and the new M5 chip offers 12% higher CPU performance and as much as 36% better GPU performance compared to M4. The video materials that leaked at the end of September from a Russian tech channel did not reveal major structural changes but confirmed that Apple is preparing for an evolution, not a revolution.

Vision Pro with M5 and a new strap. “Space Black” on the horizon

Among the novelties will also be a refreshed Apple Vision Pro. The device is set to receive a M5 chip, and possibly also a new R2 chip, which would be responsible for more accurate tracking of the user's movements. Apple is also expected to improve the head strap – the more ergonomic design should finally enhance comfort during prolonged use. A “Space Black” variant is also set to join the offering, which will please those who prefer a more understated aesthetic.

However, it is unclear whether Apple will name this model Vision Pro 2, as – according to Gurman – the company has suspended work on a full-fledged successor as well as a lighter Vision Air. The priority is now said to be smart glasses, which will debut only in a few years.

MacBook Pro 14” with M5. Launch “from day to day”?

The latest addition could be the 14-inch MacBook Pro, which – according to Gurman – could hit stores literally at any moment. The new model does not feature any visual or structural changes. Its main (and only) highlight is the M5 chip, which is expected to provide a leap in performance with lower energy consumption.

We will have to wait for stronger configurations with the M5 Pro and M5 Max until early 2026. However, Apple is preparing something bigger – the next generation with the M6 chip (2 nm) is set to bring OLED displays, touch screens, built-in cellular connectivity, and an even thinner design.

What can we expect this week?

If Gurman is to be believed – and he is rarely wrong – Apple may announce these devices before the end of the week. The most likely scenario? Quiet launches on the Apple website, without a separate event.

These aren’t devices that are going to revolutionise the market – but if Apple actually introduces the M5 in three different categories simultaneously, it could be the beginning of a new phase of integration for the entire ecosystem.
