Apple Arcade is preparing another major update to its catalogue, this time aimed primarily at fans of puzzle games. On 3 September the service will add Block Blast!+ and Art of Fauna: Cozy Puzzles+. The first of these is an extremely popular puzzle game that will appear on Arcade without ads or in‑app purchases. The second title offers calmer, more relaxing gameplay focused on nature and environmental conservation. Apple also promises further updates to existing games and additional new releases, making the autumn look genuinely interesting for Arcade users.
Block Blast!+ comes to Apple Arcade
Block Blast!+ is a game created by Hungry Studio that has become hugely popular thanks to very simple rules and gameplay that’s easy to get hooked on. The player's task is to arrange coloured blocks on the board so as to form complete rows and columns. Removing them scores points and makes room for new pieces. The mechanics are utterly simple to get to grips with, but over time they demand increasingly careful planning of your next moves. The game is therefore perfect both for a short break and for a longer session. The version marked with a “+” will arrive on Apple Arcade on 3 September. The biggest change compared with the standard release will be the absence of ads. Users of the service will also not have to worry about in-app purchases. This means the whole game will be available as part of the Arcade subscription. Block Blast!+ will thus join other popular puzzle titles available on the service, such as Grindstone, Flow Free+ and Crossword Jam+. For anyone looking for a simple but absorbing logic puzzle, it’s another appealing option.
Art of Fauna: Cozy Puzzles+ focuses on relaxation and nature
The second new release is Art of Fauna: Cozy Puzzles+, a much calmer offering aimed at players who prefer relaxing play to competition. The title was created by Klemens Strasser and won an App Store Award 2025 in the category “Impact on Culture”. Players are given puzzles that let them create colourful images inspired by the natural world. The gameplay has been designed to be soothing, meditative and accessible to a wide audience. The developers also implemented accessibility features so more people can enjoy the experience. An important part of the game are not only the puzzles themselves but also stories about wildlife and environmental conservation. The game therefore aims to combine entertainment with learning about the natural world. Art of Fauna: Cozy Puzzles+ will arrive on Apple Arcade on the same day as Block Blast!+, namely 3 September. The two titles are intended to complement each other in terms of gameplay style. One offers fast, absorbing block-based fun, while the other focuses on calmly assembling pictures. The Arcade catalogue will also see further updates, as puffies. will receive 28 new packs on 12 August, and Simon’s Cat: Blast Time will start receiving new levels from 20 August.
On 3 September Apple Arcade will gain two new puzzle games, Block Blast!+ and Art of Fauna: Cozy Puzzles+. The first title focuses on the popular block-arranging mechanic, while the second offers calm puzzles inspired by nature. Both games will be available through the subscription with no ads and no in-app purchases. Apple is simultaneously expanding the existing catalogue and announcing further releases for the autumn.
