Predator X27U F8 – the first 720 Hz monitor from Acer
Acer used the IFA 2025 trade fair to showcase its absolutely fastest monitor in history. The model Predator X27U F8 features a 26.5-inch OLED panel with a resolution of WQHD (2560×1440) and a refresh rate reaching up to 720 Hz.
Although the manufacturer did not immediately reveal the details of the technology, it is clear that it involves a RGB Tandem OLED panel, currently the only type of matrix capable of achieving such values. For comparison, the latest QD-OLED monitors top out at 500 Hz.
The monitor uses Dynamic Frequency Resolution (DFR) technology, which allows switching between modes: WQHD at 540 Hz and 1280×720 at 720 Hz. This solution is designed to optimise performance depending on the gaming scenario – from e-sport shooters to more graphically demanding productions.
The launch is planned for Q1 2026, and the price is expected to be around 1300 USD (approx. 988 GBP). This is less than the competition, as Acer traditionally prices its products a bit more aggressively than Asus.
Japanese-style minimalism – Acer amadana monitors
The debut of the first monitors under the brand amadana is also a novelty, which Acer acquired along with a Japanese design studio at the end of last year.

27ART0 P1 – a classic 27-inch IPS LCD model with a refresh rate of 144 Hz.
What sets them apart is their bright and minimalist design, paying homage to Japanese-made aesthetics. Acer emphasises that this is the beginning of a new line of products that aim to combine aesthetics with practicality.
Also promising is the Acer CE270U Z – an OLED monitor with a resolution of 2560×1440 and a refresh rate of 280 Hz. According to initial leaks, we may be dealing with a QD-OLED panel in this case.
New Proposals from the Nitro Series
For less demanding gamers, Acer has also showcased four models from the Nitro series:
Nitro XV275K V6
Nitro XV273U W1
Nitro XV270X
Nitro XZ403CKR – the largest of them, a 40-inch curved 5K monitor.
All of them are based on classic LCD panels, but they aim to fill the manufacturer's portfolio by offering something at more affordable prices.
Acer Sets the Direction for OLEDs in Gaming
This year's presentation by Acer clearly demonstrates that the market for gaming OLED monitors is entering a whole new level. From record-breaking 720 Hz to minimalist amadana – the company is focused on both extreme performance and design.
