85-inch TVs – Test Rankings

Technology: LCD VA, Mini-LED RGB

Brand: HISENSE

Verdict:

Hisense UR9S is without doubt one of the more interesting launches this year, but not necessarily for the reasons the manufacturer emphasises most. Admittedly, the first RGB Mini LED backlight in the brand’s history and this series looks impressive in measurements, yet in practice the TV’s main strength is simply that it’s well refined. It’s clear Hisense has learned from previous models and impro...

Technology: LCD VA, Mini-LED PFS LED

Brand: TCL

Verdict:

TCL A400 Pro is one of the most interesting lifestyle TVs we've tested so far. And not because it turns the whole idea of the "TV as a picture" upside down. In that respect it does roughly what the competition does: it should look good, blend into the interior and not be just another black slab in the living room. Its real strength lies elsewhere: in picture quality. This is the first TV of this k...

Technology: LCD VA, RGB MINI-LED

Brand: SONY

Verdict:

Sony Bravia 9 II is without a doubt one of the most advanced televisions that have ever passed through our editorial office. Sony has created a real monster by using a completely new RGB Mini-LED backlight design, which they call True RGB. But the technology alone is only half the story. Only combined with Sony's finely tuned, years-in-the-making image processing algorithms has a television emerge...

Verdict:

TCL X11L is, without a doubt, a powerful showcase from the manufacturer and a TV that impresses in many areas. It’s clear the engineers focused on what matters most: peak brightness, blacks and contrast. The new quantum dots with an SQD filter do such a good job that colour saturation is on par with the top new RGB panels. And the blacks? The X11L can easily stand next to an OLED and doesn’t lose ...

Brand: LG

Verdict:

Without a doubt, the LG G6 is an outstanding television in many aspects. Thanks to the new generation 2 Tandem OLED panel, it does something that no other glossy screen on the market has managed so far – it superbly suppresses light reflections while maintaining perfect, unblemished image quality. When we add record brightness and the unique properties of the panel itself, the G6 can produce image...

Technology: LCD VA, Mini-LED Super QLED (SQD)

Brand: TCL

Verdict:

The TCL C8L is without doubt one of the most intriguing Mini-LED TVs to reach our lab this year. It stands out above all for an excellent price-to-performance ratio. TCL has already got us used to aggressively priced screens, but with the C8 series the company pushes that even further. At a price that would typically only buy a mid-range model—or possibly two models like the C8K—here you get featu...

Technology: LCD VA, Mini-LED Super QLED (SQD)

Brand: TCL

Verdict:

TCL C7L is an incredibly successful Mini-LED television and a fully deserved successor to the hit model C7K. The list of advantages of this device is really long. At the top is the extremely high brightness of the panel. Thanks to this, the television handles brightly lit living rooms without any problems, offering a fantastic and dynamic image in HDR format. Huge applause is also due for the use ...

Hisense U7S Pro is without doubt a successful model, but one built for specific tasks. Its absolute domain is bright, sunlit living rooms. Thanks to its huge brightness (over 2200 nits in HDR) and a matte panel, you can expect a comfortable picture during the day — no squinting or fighting reflections. This great daytime performance comes with rich features. You get excellent upscaling of lower-qu...

Samsung The Frame Pro 2025 is a television that brings a breath of fresh air to the lifestyle model segment. Its design stands out - a symmetrical frame, the ease of swapping decorative frames, and above all, the image effect on the wall thanks to the matte finish and special mount. In everyday use, it makes a great impression, and the Art Store feature combined with high screen brightness means t...

LG NANO81A is essentially a continuation of the NanoCell series, which has hardly changed over the past few years. Aside from a new operating system, a refreshed remote, and a few marketing add-ons, we are dealing with practically the same construction that we have known for years. Thanks to the nano-particle filter, the television can display better, cleaner colours than standard budget televisio...
