Apple has officially announced the date of its most important conference for developers. WWDC 2026 kicks off on 8 June and will run until 12 June, and the event will be available online for everyone. This is where we will see what the company has been working on over the past year.
WWDC 2026 with a strong focus on AI
This year's edition is set to concentrate on artificial intelligence, new systems, and tools for developers. Apple promises a lot of changes to its platforms, which may mean significant updates to iOS, macOS, and other systems. The conference will traditionally kick off with a keynote and the presentation of Platforms State of the Union, where the company will showcase the most important innovations. Throughout the week, over 100 sessions, workshops, and meetings with Apple engineers are scheduled.
Online for everyone, but also a live event
Most of the event will be available online, so anyone can follow the presentations through the Apple Developer app, the website, or YouTube. At the same time, Apple is organising a special event at Apple Park for selected developers and students. The number of places will be limited, so not everyone will make it. The company is also continuing to develop initiatives for young creators, such as the Swift Student Challenge, where the best can go directly to the event.
WWDC 2026 is shaping up to be one of the more important editions in recent years. Apple is heavily investing in AI and the development of its ecosystem, so we can expect significant changes in software. June 8 is a date worth noting, as everything will become clear then.
