TCG Card Shop Simulator has allowed players to run their own collectible card shop from the outset. The game has already attracted over 3.5 million players on Xbox and PC. Now the developers are preparing the 1.0 update, which will introduce the long-awaited ability to duel using Tetramon cards. A system called Tetramon Duel Master is set to significantly expand the game's features. The update is scheduled for release on 15 September 2026.

Tetramon Duel Master will introduce real card duels

The biggest addition in the 1.0 update will be Tetramon Duel Master, a full-fledged card game using cards players can collect in TCG Card Shop Simulator. Each duel starts with building a 50-card deck. There’s also a limit of a maximum of four copies of the same named card. Before the match begins, a player draws five cards to their hand and may once opt to redraw their entire starting hand. After that, four more cards are placed face-down into the Guardian Area. They’ll play an important role during the duel, as they can later be claimed via a special return-to-play mechanic. Each participant begins the match with 500 Tamer Points. The main objective is to gradually reduce your opponent’s points to zero. The board is divided into several zones, the most important being four Elemental Areas corresponding to the Fire, Earth, Water and Wind elements. These are where players place their Tetramons and prepare them for battle. The deck, discard pile and the aforementioned Guardian Area are also significant. With this layout each part of the board has a specific role, and managing your cards effectively will be one of the key aspects of gameplay.

Proper placement of cards can decide who wins

At the start of their turn the player draws a card and then moves to the Main Phase, during which they can play additional Tetramons. Each Tetramon has its own Play Effect, which triggers immediately when the card is played. An example is Burpig, a rare Fire-type Tetramon that can evolve from Pigni. When played, its effect increases its own Elemental Power by 15 points for that turn. The evolution of Tetramons will also be a very important element of the system. Evolution cards can be placed directly on the corresponding Tetramon, allowing the creature to grow stronger. A Basic Tetramon, however, needs one turn before it can be evolved. Subsequent evolutions can then be performed in the same turn, provided the player has the appropriate cards. Each Elemental Area, however, allows only one new Basic Tetramon to be played per turn. When it’s played, the previous card in that spot is removed. After the card-play phase ends the Attack Phase begins, except on the very first turn of the match. Positioning Tetramons is crucial, because their Attack Power depends not only on their own Elemental Power but also on the strength assigned to a specific Elemental Area. Hits reduce the opponent’s Tamer Points, and crossing the thresholds of 400, 300, 200 and 100 points triggers a mechanism that allows drawing additional cards from the Guardian Area. This gives the trailing player extra chances to turn the tide of the match. Ultimately the winner is the person who first reduces their opponent’s points to zero.

TCG Card Shop Simulator is preparing for the release of a major 1.0 update. Its main component will be Tetramon Duel Master, a playable card game based on cards available within the game's world. Players will build 50-card decks, develop Tetramons and fight for 500 Tamer Points. Evolutions, card effects and the proper placement of creatures on the board will be important. Update 1.0 will debut on 15 September 2026 on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
