Next week, Xbox owners and Windows PC users will get access to more than 20 new games, ranging from big-budget releases to smaller indie titles. From 10 to 14 August, Microsoft's platforms will see the arrival of Madden NFL 27, Wild Blue Skies, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam and No More Room in Hell 2, among others. There will also be quieter titles for fans of puzzles, simulators and logic games. Some of the releases will arrive straight on Xbox Game Pass, so subscribers can try them without buying the full game. Microsoft has put together a varied week that should offer something for everyone.
Major Xbox releases next week
One of the biggest releases will be EA SPORTS Madden NFL 27, launching on 13 August for Xbox Series X|S. The title will receive, among other things, a new Persona Engine, designed to make players behave in a more varied and reactive way. Players can also expect gameplay changes, an expanded G.O.A.T. career and a rebuilt team-upgrade system. EA Play members will get access to a 10-hour trial, while those who pre-ordered the Deluxe edition can start playing from 10 August.
On the same day Xbox Game Pass will add Sandustry, a game focused on automating production and exploring a fully destructible world. Also launching on 13 August is Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, which will place players in the reality of the Vietnam War. The game will offer expansive battlefields, jungles, tunnels, helicopters, patrol boats and full-team cooperation. Fans of more arcade-style action can try Wild Blue Skies, a modern take on the classic rail shooters from '90s arcades. The game will feature aerial combat, high scores and a retro-styled campaign. Also worth noting is Duskfade, arriving 12 August. It’s an action platformer inspired by classic 3D titles, combining jumping, combat, gliding and the use of a grappling hook. That same day on Xbox will also see the debut of Pool Cleaning Simulator, a title for people who enjoy games in the style of PowerWash Simulator. Players will clean neglected pools and gradually restore them to pristine condition.
Smaller games also have something to offer
The week kicks off on 10 August with the release of Pieced Together, a gentle game about scrapbooking, friendship and growing up. On 11 August you'll also see Akatori, a blend of metroidvania and a fast-paced action platformer in which Mako must face the mysterious Amber Storms. That same day will also bring Bunny Pit Berry, Iridio, No More Room in Hell 2 and the skill-based roguelite Trash Raccoon.
On 12 August the release list is rounded out by titles including Pets Survivors, where players take on various animals fighting hordes of enemies. The title offers 14 playable critters, each with its own skills and stats. The aforementioned Pool Cleaning Simulator will also arrive on Xbox, and the following day we’re in for a real influx of new releases. On 13 August debuting titles include Pro Jank Footy, Barkside Roads, Emergency Room Simulator, Idle Immortal, Kaboomania, Panzer Knights: Commander’s Edition, Plungeez and Skatesterre. Among them you'll find a humorous sports game, an emergency room work simulator, an arcade action title and classic puzzle games. On 14 August the week of releases will close with titles such as Hidden Legends 2, Hunahpu Quest: Mechanoid, Lootbound, No More Slimes!! and Tower Dominion.
Microsoft has prepared an exceptionally diverse line-up of releases for the coming days, featuring both major titles and smaller indie games. The main draws are likely Madden NFL 27, Hell Let Loose: Vietnam and Wild Blue Skies. But we mustn't forget games available through Xbox Game Pass, such as Sandustry. Fans of more relaxed gameplay will also find something for themselves, including Pieced Together and Pool Cleaning Simulator. All releases scheduled for 10–14 August 2026 show that Xbox is heading into another week with a very wide offering for its users.
