Forgotten but great movies on Netflix. These productions are worth catching up on.

Calendar 3/5/2026

The Netflix library is huge, which is why many interesting films gradually fade into the shadow of new releases. However, among the older productions, you can still find quite a few titles that can surprise you with their story, atmosphere, and great cast. If you're looking for something interesting for the evening, here are three forgotten but very good films available on Netflix.

Annihilation (2018)

This science fiction film tells the story of a group of scientists who embark on a journey to a mysterious zone known as “The Shimmer.” This place appeared after the impact of an unidentified object and began to change the laws of nature. The expedition quickly discovers that everything in the zone behaves differently—plants, animals, and even humans. The production stands out for its dense atmosphere, unconventional plot, and visually extraordinary world.

The Ritual (2017)

This is one of the more interesting horror films that hasn't gained the popularity it deserves. The film tells the story of a group of friends embarking on a trek through the Scandinavian forests. However, during their journey, they begin to experience strange and terrifying events. Over time, it becomes clear that there may be something far more dangerous in the woods than just ordinary wildlife.

The King (2019)

A historical drama telling the story of a young prince who unexpectedly becomes the King of England. He must confront politics, betrayal, and the impending war with France. The film is distinguished by its dark atmosphere, realistic portrayal of the Middle Ages, and very well-executed battle scenes.
