Xbox decided to celebrate its 25th anniversary not only with memories but also with new accessories. The company unveiled the Designed for Xbox 25th Anniversary Collection, which strongly references the look of the console's first generation. The most distinctive element is the transparent green color scheme, reminiscent of the brand's early days. The set includes, among others, a mouse, keyboard, headset, docking station, and accessories for mobile devices.
The classic Xbox returns in modern accessories
One of the most interesting products is the Razer Basilisk V3 Pro 35K in a special Xbox 25th Anniversary Edition. It’s a wireless gaming mouse equipped with the Focus Pro 35K Optical Sensor Gen-2. The manufacturer also fitted a four-way scroll wheel and offers up to 140 hours of wireless operation. Joining the collection is the Razer BlackWidow V4 75%, a compact mechanical keyboard with hot-swappable switches. The model features Razer Chroma RGB lighting and a special Xbox button that launches the Game Bar. Players may also be interested in the Razer Hammerhead V3 X HyperSpeed earbuds. These are wireless in-ear headphones using HyperSpeed Wireless technology and Bluetooth 5.3. Their total runtime with the case reaches 35 hours. Another item in the collection is a transparent green 8BitDo Ultimate Charging Dock for Xbox controllers. A special Backbone Pro Xbox version was also prepared, which will be available in three anniversary colors, but buyers won’t know which variant they’ll get until they open the box. It’s precisely that collectible nature that could quickly attract fans of the original Xbox.
Xbox returns to its roots 25 years later
However, the collection is not limited to gaming hardware. PowerA has created an Xbox Sling Bag designed, among other things, for the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X. The bag features several compartments for gear, headphones, a controller, a phone, and extra accessories. The GameSir X5 Lite for Xbox will also hit the market in a transparent green anniversary edition. The controller is designed for mobile gaming and works with both iOS and Android devices. The accessory is officially licensed by Xbox and certified under Apple’s MFi program. The entire collection is primarily meant to evoke the brand’s beginnings and the distinctive look of the original Xbox. Pre-orders for all announced products have already begun. Prices for individual devices depend on the manufacturer and the specific model. So Xbox is marking its 25th anniversary with a heavy dose of nostalgia while also embracing modern hardware.
Xbox has prepared a sizable collection of accessories to mark the brand’s 25th anniversary. The main motif is a translucent green inspired by the original console. The lineup includes products from Razer, 8BitDo, Backbone, PowerA, and GameSir. Xbox fans therefore get plenty of gear that blends modern features with a look reminiscent of the brand’s early days.
