Microsoft has revealed another list of games that will arrive on Xbox Game Pass in the coming days and weeks. They include both smaller indie titles and eagerly awaited releases available on the service from day one. Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy looks particularly interesting, as the next installment in the popular series. Players should also check the list of titles that will soon be removed from the library.
Xbox Game Pass adds many new titles in the second half of August
The first new title is Vapor World: Over the Mind, which arrives on Xbox Game Pass on August 19. It’s a narrative, souls-like platformer in which the player takes on the role of a boy trapped in a dark, dangerous world. A parry system plays an important role in the gameplay, and the experience also focuses on uncovering memories and the story behind the mysterious world. On the same day, subscribers will receive BlazBlue Entropy Effect X, a dynamic roguelite set in the BlazBlue universe. Relooted will also join the service; in it, players become thieves trying to recover African artifacts housed in Western museums. On August 20, Starsand Island will arrive, offering much calmer gameplay centered on exploring the island, fishing, farming, and interacting with animals.
Two more titles arrive on August 25. Aerial_Knight’s DropShot will combine a fast-paced FPS with racing, while Blood Dungeon will offer two-dimensional platforming survival combat. Players will traverse dangerous dungeons, dodge monsters, collect blood and power-ups, and use the bones they find later to upgrade their character.
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy will debut on Game Pass, and several games will leave the service
The biggest new release will be Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, which will arrive on Xbox Game Pass on August 27 and will be available on day one. The game follows Sophia, who ends up on the mysterious Minotaur Island. There she will have to solve puzzles, traverse dangerous terrain, and fight enemies while trying to escape an army that’s pursuing her.
But that’s not all for August releases. On August 31 Young Suns will move out of early access — a narrative life sim set after a successful revolution on Jupiter. Then on September 1 Shelldiver arrives on Game Pass, an unusual game in which the player helps a turtle catch jellyfish, upgrade gear, and explore ever greater depths of the ocean. Microsoft also reminded players about the titles that will soon leave the library. On August 31, Another Crab’s Treasure, I Am Your Beast, Neon Abyss, One Lonely Outpost, and The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt - Remastered Edition will disappear from Xbox Game Pass. NBA 2K26 will stick around a bit longer and will be available until September 6. That means subscribers still have a few days to catch up on these titles before they’re removed.
Xbox Game Pass is once again getting a sizable batch of new titles, and the end of August looks especially interesting. The biggest release will be Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, which will hit the service's library on day one. In addition, players will get, among others, Blood Dungeon, Vapor World: Over the Mind, and Starsand Island. At the same time, it's worth remembering the games leaving Game Pass, because some of them will disappear from the catalog as early as August 31.
