Aesir Interactive and NighinGames are finishing work on Windstorm: The Legend of Khiimori – a game that could shake things up not only on Steam. The title takes us to 13th century Mongolia, where instead of a sword, the most important thing will be… a horse and a good eye for logistics.
Courier in an open world and horse realism like never before
Windstorm is not just beautiful graphics. It also features exceptionally charming mechanics for traveling and training steeds, which – according to the creators – is meant to be the most authentic simulator of horse behavior we've ever seen. So we have not only beautifully rendered animations but also realistic reactions, sounds, and relationships between the player and the animal.
In the game, we deliver packages, rescue animals, and traverse wild, open spaces. Sounds relaxing? Yes. But at the same time, there’s something epic about it – something that recalls the best moments from Red Dead Redemption, only in a different culture and with a smaller pistol.
From Kickstarter to the big screens – premiere coming in 2025
On Kickstarter, the title broke the bank – raising over 504 thousand euros, although the creators aimed for only 60 thousand. The premiere is planned for the end of 2025 – and it will be available on PC (Steam, Epic), PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
If you are looking for a game that will surprise you with its atmosphere, calm yet satisfying gameplay, and something “different than everything else” – then Windstorm is definitely worth keeping on your radar.
