A new 4K Blu-ray player from Laser has hit the market. The BLU-BD4K-384 model may be of particular interest to people who collect international film releases. The device supports Blu-ray and DVD discs from various regions, and it also lets you play 4K content. For now it’s available for pre-order only in Australia.
Dolby Vision but no HDR10+
The Laser BLU-BD4K-384 plays Ultra HD Blu-ray discs and supports Dolby Vision and HDR10. The manufacturer also supports playback of high-resolution audio and media files from USB. The specifications do not include support for HDR10+. It is equipped with a single HDMI output, an Ethernet port and a USB port. The player has no Wi-Fi, so the internet connection is wired.
For now, only Australia
The BLU-BD4K-384 laser costs 499.95 Australian dollars in Australian pre-orders (about 350 USD at a simple conversion). The manufacturer expects sales to start in November 2026. At the moment there is no information about the device's launch in Poland or its European price.
For collectors, the new player could be an interesting option. The ability to play discs from different regions makes it easier to use imported editions of films that can't be played on standard region-locked players.
