TCG Card Shop Simulator has allowed players to run their own collectible card shop from the start. The game has already reached over 3.5 million players on Xbox and PC. Now the developers are preparing update 1.0, which will introduce the long-awaited ability to play duels with Tetramon cards. The system, called Tetramon Duel Master, is set to significantly expand the game's possibilities. The update is scheduled to launch on September 15, 2026.
Tetramon Duel Master will bring real card duels
The biggest addition in the 1.0 update will be Tetramon Duel Master, a full-fledged card game that uses cards players can collect in TCG Card Shop Simulator. Each duel begins with building a deck of 50 cards. At the same time, there is a limit of no more than four copies of the same named card. Before the match starts, a player draws five cards into their hand and may once choose to redraw their entire opening hand. After that process, four additional cards are placed face-down into the Guardian Area. They will play an important role during the duel because they can later be recovered through a special return-to-play mechanic. Each participant starts the match with 500 Tamer Points. The main objective is to gradually reduce the opponent’s points to zero. The board is divided into several areas, the most important being four Elemental Areas corresponding to the elements Fire, Earth, Water, and Wind. It is in these zones that players place their Tetramons and prepare them for battle. The deck, the discard pile, and the aforementioned Guardian Area also matter. With this division, each part of the board has a specific function, and proper card management will be one of the key elements of gameplay.
Proper card placement can determine the outcome
At the start of their turn, a player draws a card and then moves to the Main Phase, during which they can play additional Tetramon cards. Each Tetramon has its own Play Effect, which triggers immediately when the card is played. An example is Burpig, a rare Fire-type Tetramon that can evolve from Pigni. When played, its effect increases its own Elemental Power by 15 points for that turn. Another very important element of the system is Tetramon evolution. Evolution cards can be placed directly on the corresponding Tetramon, allowing the creature to grow progressively stronger. A basic Tetramon, however, needs one turn before it can be evolved. Later evolutions can be done in the same turn, provided the player has the necessary cards. Each Elemental Area allows only one new basic Tetramon to be played there per turn. When it is played, the previous card in that spot is removed. After the card-playing phase ends, the Attack Phase begins, except on the very first turn of the match. Positioning Tetramons is crucial, because their Attack Power depends not only on their own Elemental Power but also on the power assigned to the specific Elemental Area. Hits reduce the opponent's Tamer Points, and passing the 400, 300, 200, and 100 thresholds triggers a mechanism that lets a player draw additional cards from the Guardian Area. This gives a losing player extra opportunities to turn the match around. Ultimately, the winner is the first player to bring the opponent's points down to zero.
TCG Card Shop Simulator is preparing for the release of a major 1.0 update. Its centerpiece will be Tetramon Duel Master, a playable card game based on the cards available in the game's world. Players will build 50-card decks, develop Tetramons, and compete for 500 Tamer Points. Evolutions, card effects, and proper placement of creatures on the board will be crucial. Update 1.0 will debut on September 15, 2026 on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
