Philips Evnia 25M4P5200T goes on sale in China. It is a 24.5-inch gaming monitor with a BOE panel using ADS Pro technology, which reaches 1000 Hz at its native resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. The price is 7,999 yuan, about 1,060 euros before taxes and import costs.

1000 Hz without reducing resolution below Full HD

The monitor's main standout feature is, of course, its refresh rate. The Evnia 25M4P5200T reaches 1000 Hz without lowering the resolution below Full HD. At that refresh rate, each frame remains on the screen for about one millisecond. The manufacturer claims a response time of 0.2 ms GtG and 0.1 ms MPRT. The panel also offers 99% sRGB coverage and 95% DCI-P3. The monitor received DisplayHDR 400 certification, and in HDR mode it can reach up to 450 nits.

DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1

In terms of connectors, Philips didn't stick to the basic set. The monitor has DisplayPort 2.1 and two HDMI 2.1 ports. It also supports FreeSync Premium and G-SYNC, which are intended to reduce tearing at variable frame rates. The Evnia 25M4P5200T was shown for the first time on May 20 during a BOE event. Now the monitor has actually gone on sale in China. So far Philips hasn't announced a European release date. Interestingly, this isn't the only monitor with a BOE panel reaching 1000 Hz. AOC AGON PRO AGP257FT, which we wrote about a few days ago, uses a similar 24.5-inch panel and after overclocking reaches 1050 Hz. This model is expected to appear in Germany in the first quarter of 2027.
