Philips is preparing something many of the brand's fans have waited years for. The model 83OLED811 has appeared on the manufacturer's official website, marking the company's first 83-inch OLED TV. Until now, Philips' largest OLEDs were 77 inches. The new model will offer not only a larger screen size but also Dolby Vision 2 Max, Ambilight, and a range of features for gamers.
The new Philips 83OLED811 will feature a 4K OLED panel (3840 × 2160 pixels). Image processing is handled by the tenth‑generation P5 AI processor, which is designed to improve detail, color and motion handling. The TV also supports HDR10+, HLG, and Dolby Vision 2 Max, the latest generation of the popular HDR format. It also includes Philips' signature feature, three-sided Ambilight. The system lights the wall behind the screen with colors that match the on-screen image, enhancing the experience when watching movies or gaming.
Four HDMI 2.1 ports and up to 165 Hz. Gamers will be pleased, too
Philips has also added plenty of features for gamers. The TV gets four HDMI 2.1 ports with 48 Gb/s bandwidth, support for VRR, ALLM, AMD FreeSync Premium and compatibility with NVIDIA G-SYNC. Interestingly, the manufacturer's materials are not entirely consistent about the refresh rate. The spec sheet indicates 120 Hz natively and up to 165 Hz with VRR, while the marketing description mentions native 165 Hz. We'll have to wait for a final clarification on that. Everything will run on Titan OS. Audio is handled by a 2.2-channel, 70 W system supporting Dolby Atmos and DTS.
Availability in Poland and price
According to unofficial information, the TV may go on sale in the first quarter of 2027. A French series listing suggests a price of €3,999, although the Polish price and availability date have not yet been confirmed.
