Panasonic revealed the first details of its 2027 TV lineup. OLED will remain a technology reserved for the top models, but the manufacturer intends to significantly expand the QD-Mini LED range and offer larger screen sizes. For now, however, it has not confirmed entering RGB Mini LED.
OLED still at the top
Current models Z95B and Z90B will remain in the lineup until the new generation appears in 2027. This is rather unusual for Panasonic, because its flagship TVs will stay on the market for two years. The company has not yet announced names or prices for the successors, but more information is expected around CES 2027. Panasonic also says that, despite the collaboration with Skyworth, it will remain responsible for the key elements affecting picture quality in its premium models. Japanese engineers will handle, among other things, picture tuning, its own picture modes and the integration of calibration systems, including Calman. Since 2026, Panasonic's European TV operations have been run jointly with Skyworth. The Chinese partner is responsible, among other things, for manufacturing, distribution and logistics, but Panasonic says it will continue to play a role in developing premium models.
More QD-Mini LED, but what about RGB Mini LED?
The second pillar of the lineup is expected to be QD-Mini LED TVs. Panasonic wants to expand their range and introduce larger screen sizes. It is unclear, however, whether we will see a Panasonic TV with RGB Mini LED in 2027. The manufacturer did not answer directly when asked about this technology. This is especially interesting at a time when the solution is starting to appear in competitors' flagship TVs. Panasonic is also working on changes to audio. The 2027 models are set to include a new DSP algorithm and a revised speaker configuration, although details have not yet been revealed.
