Netflix has released official trailers for three new productions that will soon join the platform’s library. Among the upcoming premieres are a dark thriller with a star-studded cast, a moving documentary based on true events, and a mysterious Spanish miniseries. Each title is aimed at a different audience, making the service’s lineup even more diverse. The releases are scheduled for August 2026. Netflix hopes the new productions will attract both crime fans and viewers seeking emotional stories. Here’s what to expect from the platform’s latest announcements.

The Whisper Man and A Child of My Own lean on strong emotions

The most high-profile of the announced premieres is The Whisper Man, a psychological thriller based on Alex North's bestselling novel. The film tells the story of a father whose son is kidnapped, leading to the reopening of a case involving a serial child killer known as "Whisper Man." The cast includes Robert De Niro, Adam Scott and Michelle Monaghan. The film is scheduled to be released on August 28, 2026. The other new release is the documentary A Child of My Own, directed by Maite Alberdi. The film tells the true story of Alejandra, a woman who, after multiple miscarriages, decides to fake a pregnancy to meet her family's expectations. Over time her lie leads to one of the most notorious scandals in Mexico. The documentary is set to debut on Netflix on August 13, 2026. Both productions tackle difficult subjects, though each does so in a completely different way.

Spanish miniseries will reveal the secrets of a group of friends

The third new title announced by Netflix is All the Truth in My Lies, a five-episode Spanish miniseries based on the novel by Elísabet Benavent. The plot centers on a group of friends who set off in an RV for the bachelorette party of one of the women. What begins as an apparently innocent trip quickly turns into a tense journey during which long-hidden secrets and lies come to light. Relationships between the characters become increasingly complicated, and the atmosphere grows more and more tense. The series emphasizes drama and psychological conflicts between the characters. The premiere is set for August 28, 2026. The release of the trailer suggests that Netflix is still heavily investing in European original productions. By offering a variety of genres, the platform aims to reach a wide audience. All three announced titles will be available exclusively on Netflix.

Netflix has revealed trailers for three new productions that will arrive in the platform’s library later this August. Viewers will get a dark thriller, a documentary based on true events, and a mysterious Spanish miniseries. The variety of genres shows the service continues to offer a broad lineup aimed at different audiences.
