American football fans no longer have to wait for the official launch of Madden NFL 27. Electronic Arts has launched early access for EA Play subscribers, allowing them to spend up to 10 hours with the game even before the full version debuts. In addition to being able to start the season early, players also receive extra bonuses, discounts, and rewards for Ultimate Team mode.
EA Play lets you play Madden NFL 27 before its release
EA Play subscribers can now start playing Madden NFL 27 with a 10-hour trial. The trial includes the game's full content, letting players check out all the major new features prepared by Electronic Arts. Importantly, progress made during the trial will automatically carry over to the full game after purchase. That way there's no need to start a career from scratch. Subscribers also receive a special EA Play Welcome Pack to help them get started. Another benefit is a 10 percent discount on the digital purchase of the game and on Madden Points. Subscribers can also claim monthly packs for Madden Ultimate Team, strengthening their roster with new players and items. Early access is available to users of Xbox Cloud Gaming, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Ultimate, which include EA Play. This lets players try the game without needing to immediately buy the full version. For many players, this will be an opportunity to find out whether this year's entry in the series actually delivers the expected changes.
New Persona Engine and Bigger Gameplay Changes
The biggest addition in Madden NFL 27 is the debut of the Persona Engine, a system that gives each player an individual personality and behavior. According to Electronic Arts, players will now make decisions in a more realistic way, reacting to events that unfold over the course of a season. Changes also affect gameplay itself, which is set to offer more physical matchups between offensive and defensive players. The developers rebuilt short-play mechanics, improved defensive alignments and added new options for planning plays before the snap. The G.O.A.T. career mode was expanded as well, letting a player take an athlete from high school all the way to the Hall of Fame. New skill trees, additional field positions and more career-impacting decisions have been added. Electronic Arts also refreshed progression in Ultimate Team, where players earn skill points and level up their cards through the new Evos upgrade system. In addition to Madden NFL 27, EA Play subscribers can claim bonuses in August for games like Apex Legends, EA Sports FC 26, NHL 26 and College Football 27. The company continues to expand its subscription service, regularly offering early access to releases and extra rewards for subscribers.
Madden NFL 27 is now available as part of a 10-hour EA Play trial, allowing players to check out all the major new features before the full release.
