Epson introduced three new projectors in the Home Cinema series. The LS5000, LS6000 and LS7500 models use a laser light source and 3LCD technology. All support a 120 Hz refresh rate and display 4K images using pixel shift.
Epson LS5000, LS6000 and LS7500
The new series includes three models that mainly differ in brightness and installation options. The LS5000 offers 2,500 lumens, the LS6000 3,400 lumens, and the most expensive LS7500 3,500 lumens. All projectors use three-chip LCD systems. These are not projectors with a native 4K panel. Such a high resolution is achieved by quickly shifting the image generated by the panels (pixel shifting), allowing the projector to display more detail than standard Full HD. Epson also thought about console owners and each model supports a 120 Hz refresh rate.

LS7500 with a shorter throw
What draws the most attention is, of course, the most expensive model. The LS7500 has a short-throw lens, allowing the projector to be placed closer to the screen than the LS5000 and LS6000. However, it's not an ultra-short-throw (UST) design. This matters for small rooms that can easily be converted into your own home theater. With a standard projector, it might be necessary to position the unit a few meters from the wall. That gives us plenty of freedom when setting up the equipment. The LS7500 is also the brightest model.
Prices and availability
In the United States, LS5000 costs $1,999.99, LS6000 costs $2,199.99, and LS7500 costs $2,699.99. Epson plans to start sales as early as the end of September. So far we haven't received Polish pricing or a release date for our market.
