Apple is preparing a triple launch. iPad Pro, Vision Pro, and MacBook with M5 are getting closer!

Calendar 10/13/2025

Apple is gearing up for a triple launch – iPad Pro, Vision Pro and MacBook Pro with the M5 chip. A new generation of devices is just around the corner!

Apple isn't slowing down. After a calm end of summer release schedule, the company from Cupertino is preparing a surprise – and not just one. As reported by Mark Gurman in his latest newsletter Power On, we could see up to three new devices as soon as next week – all signs point to iPad Pro, a refreshed Apple Vision Pro, and 14-inch MacBook Pro, all based on the Apple M5 chip.

iPad Pro with M5 and 12 GB RAM. Subtle changes, greater power

The new iPad Pro with M5 is set to be a classic example of how Apple raises the bar without changing the product philosophy. From the outside – nearly identical to its predecessor with M4, with one exception: the "iPad Pro" label will be removed from the chassis. However, much more is happening on the inside.

The tablet is expected to start with 12 GB RAM, and the new M5 chip offers a 12% higher CPU performance and an impressive 36% better GPU performance compared to M4. Video materials that leaked at the end of September from a Russian tech channel did not reveal significant design changes but confirmed that Apple is preparing for evolution, not revolution.

Vision Pro with M5 and a new headband. “Space Black” on the horizon

Among the new features will also be the refreshed Apple Vision Pro. The device is set to receive the M5 chip, and possibly a new R2 chip that would be responsible for more precise tracking of the user's movement. Apple is also expected to improve the headband – a more ergonomic design is finally supposed to enhance comfort during long use. A variant in “Space Black” is also set to join the offer, which will please those who prefer a more subdued aesthetic.

It is not known, however, if Apple will name this model Vision Pro 2, as – according to Gurman – the company has suspended work on a full-fledged successor and a lighter Vision Air. The priority now is to focus on smart glasses, which are not expected to debut for several more years.

MacBook Pro 14” with M5. Premiere “from day to day”?

The latest from the news could be the 14-inch MacBook Pro, which – according to Gurman – could hit the stores literally at any moment. The new model has no visual or structural changes. Its main (and only) point of focus is the M5 chip, which is expected to provide a boost in performance with lower energy consumption.

We will have to wait for stronger configurations with M5 Pro and M5 Max until early 2026. However, Apple is preparing something bigger – the next generation with the M6 chip (2 nm) is expected to bring OLEDs, touch screens, built-in cellular connectivity, and an even thinner design.

What can we expect this week?

If Gurman is correct – and he is rarely wrong – Apple may announce these devices before the end of the week. The most likely scenario? Quiet launches on the Apple website, without a separate event.

These are not devices that are meant to revolutionize the market – but if Apple indeed introduces the M5 in three different categories at the same time, it could be the beginning of a new phase of integration for the entire ecosystem.
